Fugazi Smalls — Post 6 Grrrrl

by Alphaville Herald on 05/01/10 at 8:00 am

[So I've known Fugazi Smalls for quite a bit of time, always admired her av, and decided to ask her to be one of January's Post 6 Grrrls when I got the opportunity to help Timothy. She happily obliged. -Daeynaries Lane]

Note: Post6 Photographer Timothy Morpork is on a few weeks of vacation. In hisabsence, the lovely and talented Daeynaries Lane has agreed to keepPost 6 stocked with the most gorgeous and interesting avatars from across thegrid – the Editrix

Fugazi1

Call me Fu darling, everyone does eventually so why not start now?  I started in SL in January 2007 with only  a vague idea of what I wanted to be when the "new" wore off, but I knew I wanted to look good!

 I more or less fell in to roleplaying in Midian City and within a year was quite well established as the indomitable Fu, a somewhat imposing vampire. (shh, it's a secret!)

I've also danced, escorted and misbehaved in general but met some wonderful friends here in Second Life, some of whom I'd never have had the opportunity to meet in real life.  About real life, I'm East Coast U.S. , thirtysomething (yes 'something' is a large number, no I won't say what) and have been interested in many forms of roleplay and online gaming for pretty much all of my life!

While terribly private, a few here really know me and I account them the best friends of my life.  I will say honestly, I -wish- I was as lovely as my avatar but then, such beauty is only skin deep.  Want to know more?  Perhaps we might chat, I could pencil you in about March 2010 if you like!  -Kisses-Fu

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.. snort. Oh, is she done yet?
    Um she is?
    Oh ok.
    Mmm small tip hunni.
    Stenciled on tattoos don’t make you a bad ass. It makes your ass in this case look bad. Midian does not love you as much as you think. I know. Have fun with that.

    I don’t know if her hands are freakishly small, but in the last picture they appear REALLY small in proportion to the rest of her body and that’s just creepy. And I’m not really sure what’s up with the 3rd pose, in general. Doesn’t look sexy or even normal… kinda reminds me of that movie where Jodie Foster played the totally retarded girl that lived in the woods or whatever.

    The tattoos are horrible. She should “pencil in” as ass kicking for herself for wearing that crap.

    Retarded girl who lives in the woods describes this article perfectly.

    The first photo is nice. Could have been cropped, though. Something is off with the perspectives in the other two photos.

    I’m usually a very calm, understanding, and tolerant person, but the way you guys decided to go the extra mile to insult her rubbed me in the completely wrong way.

    I think the girl is actually pretty damn hot. You guys have to take into account people’s preferences and their own personal dislikes. The person who works on this website has likes and dislikes different than yours so I would try to keep that in mind before you try to tear apart someone who was asked to do this. And trying to tear apart in an undignified manner.

    Sure, not everyone will like thin-lined tattoos, but some people don’t like tattoos in general. In that very same way she never said she looked bad ass. People have a preference to look how they like. I’d rather look at finely detailed thin tattoos than the thick clunky ones you see all around that look terrible if the person tries to even move. Doesn’t mean you have to go out of your way to impose such harsh comments when they have no relevance.

    For example, those comments on Midian as herself being loved? When did she mention that? She mentioned she RPed and had a title she gave herself. Most serious RPers tend to have titles. She isn’t trying to insinuate anything so I would excuse your ad hominem right there.

    Her hands look perfectly fine to me. Perhaps the tattoos may make it seem smaller than they actually are, but whatever the case, that’s how it seems to me anyway. The third pose is a bit different but it’s the person who did this who made it this way. I truly see no issue with it.

    As for the “retarded girl” comments? Really? You REALLY need to go on and attack someone who is doing something for a friend? For what? Personal opinions? I would expect better from critics but then again you have your own personal opinions. That’s fine, you’re allowed to have them. But my God you sound like children the way you attack her.

    Attacking someone is easy to do but it’s pointless. For example, I could attack you for the ridiculous names you decided to use on here. It wouldn’t take much thought, believe me. At least the latest two comments were decent enough to leave names that had a bit more thought into them and were kind enough comment in a way that didn’t make them seem like an asshole.

    She did this for a friend’s request. She didn’t do this for you. What did you come here for? Hoping that you’d have something to tug at while you look at 3D pixels and were disappointed because it didn’t fit your liking? Whatever your reason for coming here and deciding to act like idiots is beyond me. I recognize and understand people have opinions and preferences, but you seriously didn’t have to go and do all of that.

    Have a good day, and once again, I think this girl looks lovely. :)

    @Devin – You must be new here, this is the norm. Your tl;dr indignation has been noted and promptly ignored.

    Also, nevermind the av’s fashion choices, these pictures are just laughably terrible, especially 2 & 3 (especially especially 3, who thought that was a good idea?), they almost make Timothy’s lack of talent look good in comparison.

    @Devin

    Ignore them, they are idiots.

    Notice how succinctly Reverse Writer was able to insult you, the person that took these pictures AND the regular photographer in just over 50 words. This is obviously someone with a lot of practice at being an asshole.

    Sadly, this is the norm for these people- they come to the herald and fling poo at the models and photographers to make themselves feel better. They are bitter little people prickling with jealousy about EVERYTHING.

    On the bright side, most of these people are as miserable in real life as they seem to be here, so we do get some smug satisfaction in knowing that they are, and will continue to be, colossal failures at real life.

    @Daeynaries and Fugazi
    Ignore the trolls, these are great pics of a very cool avie. Thanks for being brave AND talented and sharing yourselves with us.

    I was shooting for under 30 words, but I’m still honing my asshole-ism.

    What you most can’t stand about another, is most probably true about you.
    In Oz we have a relevant phrase; “tall poppy syndrome”. In one sense it means it’s easier to knock another, than to do something worthwhile your self. I thought the pics were great, and I have never particularly liked tattoos. You go Grrrrl!

    Bob:

    Duly noted and observed.

    Reverse Writer:

    It sounds like you are saying that this being the norm somehow justifies for it happening. If you are not trying to imply that, then please state what reason you had for doing so.

    @Devin

    It is done to provoke plain and simple, once they get a reaction they feel that they have attention and like a small child having got attention they are happy. ;-)
    Pay them no attention after all again like a child they are bullies hiding behind a screen remaining anonymous oh how tough they feel writing insults unaware how truly pathetic and child like they seem. I find them a little sad and pity them. Remember a bully is usually a victim of bullying themselves so perhaps we should all bear this in mind and unless trained to deal with these children leave it to the professionals. After all with the best will in the world they have to want to help themselves before they can begin to learn how to interact with others.

    @Devin That’s pretty much is what I’m saying. For as lost as there has been a Post 6, there has been a gauntlet of people to cheer them on as well as a gauntlet of people to call bullshit on things they see as such. Some of it is just rampant cruelty for cruelty’s sake, some of it is because there’s a standard of quality that a lot of us see this feature missing time and again. I’m in the latter camp, I don’t chime in every week to criticize, except when I see something heinous enough to compel me to point it out. Go back and read all the Post 6 Girl posts, they are as much about the audience participation as they are about the av featured in them, and everyone but you and the other white knights on here seems to be aware of it, the editors of this rag included.

    I don’t find the tattoos low quality, they are really well made. I couldn’t see a seam anywhere on the arm or side. Those who sat and worked on them did a good job. The lingerie in pic #2, yes, looks like well made with a sheer texture. I don’t often click on a picture to see it bigger, but I did here… and it’s not possible to get it bigger? Bummer.
    I don’t agree with the choices the photographer took with the light. But maybe it’s just my dislike for the “sunrise” that makes the avatar so unrealistic rosy, or let’s say orange? I am a bit uncertain about pic #3. It is nice to see other poses than those who stand up straight and just use their AO. This pose is a bit too much the other way, but in general I prefer to see new and interesting poses.
    Nice start, and I liked it better than many others I’ve seen in The Herald.

    It’s much easier to tear something down than build something of your own isn’t it?

    Daeynaries you did a wonderful job capturing the aspects that make Fugazi stand out from the masses.

    5 bucks says all the complimentary comments are people sent to post here from Midian. What lame asses.
