Cynthia Shamrock — Post 6 Grrrl

by Alphaville Herald on 25/05/10 at 11:48 am

[I ran into Cynthia Shamrock a couple of months ago and I happened to be wearing my Post 6 tag at the time. She hadn’t heard of the Herald or Post 6, and it is my great pleasure to say that it seems that the collective charm of the blog has won her over, as a few weeks ago she contacted me interested in posing. It is an honor to present the lovely and talented Cynthia Shamrock, Post 6 Grrrrl –Timothy Morpork]

Cynthia Shamrock

Hello!

My name is Cynthia and I’m hooked on the Alphaville Herald. It is an honor to pose for you, and yes, I’m nervous as hell. It’s not the nudity that bothers me, it’s the words. I am often nekkid or close to it in Second Life-more on that later maybe, but it’s the words that have me freaked out.

Because what can you say about your avatar that hasn’t already been said? I shop, I chat, I check out cool builds. Mostly I explore myself, which is too private to babble about here on the Herald, but I guess I could give it a bit of a whirl.

So, what I mean is this- I use SL to have adventures. Don’t take that to mean that I’m putting on the furry suit or looking for a gorean to flay, I don’t and I’m not. What I mean is, I use SL to learn about myself. With no restrictions, what would you do? These are my little adventures.

Cynthia Shamrock

In real life, I’m sort of shy. I would rather listen than talk. I would rather watch than participate. I have always wondered if I’m like that because it’s a preference, or because I’m afraid of looking foolish. Here in Second Life, I’m proving to myself that it’s because I prefer to be listening and watching. I could care less if my avatar is looking foolish, and I still find that even in a group of virtual people I prefer listening to talking.

So I get to learn little things about myself like that. And I get to try things that are definitely out of my 1st Life comfort zone, like asking a guy to dance or spending a “ton” on a pair of shoes. I have a really simple and comfortable life in both worlds, so it’s the little spices that I add here and there that make it interesting. SL is nice because if it turns out that the guy is a creep, I can log. In RL, yikes.

Like modeling nude for you. I’m a nurse in my RL, naked bodies are no big deal for me. In SL I often pop over to nude beaches or dance in almost nothing, just to be a little wild. I read the Herald every day, I figured posing for Timothy would be a perfect spice- his pictures are awesome, and I’ll become a part of the most famous blog in the virtual universe. Win-Win.

So there you have some world-class babble. Betcha wished I’d chickened out now :-)
Thanks for listening, and I hope you like the pictures!

So much for the collective charm. (@Samantha).

I for one am glad that Cynthia DIDN’T chicken out. Great write-up, very personal story.

And just to prove I’m not a bleeding heart: I don’t care for the skin at all. Or the first two hairs. Or any of the clothing, however scarce it is.

    a bit mannish eh

i love the writing here. this addresses the basic reason i remained in sl for years, self discovery. finding my own strengths and weaknesses as i communed with the other denizens. at times i was stronger and more stubborn than i should have been, and at times i was weaker and did not take a stand when i should have. i fell in love to easily, and spurned some i should not have. chances are, depending on your inclination to insight, you have experienced all this if you spent any time in sl.

mannish? i don’t think so. i love her avatar. (see? i still fall in love to easily)

marilyn murphy, that is the biggest load of hippy bullshit I have ever seen in connection to Second Life. And I’ve seen a man who thinks he can cure cancer by hitting a tiny wooden doll with a tiny hammer.

Also that avatar looks like a transvestite deer caught in some headlights.

She does not look like a man.

Not all women are shaped like a Barbie doll, remember?

    Oh FFS . . .

There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with Cynthia’s shape or look. It is realistic-looking in its dimensions and very attractive.

Guess what, boys? In RL, women aren’t one-size-fits-all, or designed solely for the purpose of meeting your absurd ideal of a “bimbette.” Maybe, just maybe, Cynthia chose a shape that SHE likes, without reference to or care for your basement wanking.

Frankly, if any one of you had the chance to sleep with someone in RL who looked HALF this good, you’d probably die of heart failure (not to mention surprise).

    Nice write-up, Cynthia.

    I totally agree with Scylla!

Cynthia is wonderful, very realistic and sweet, I find her so refreshing.
    Fantasic pics as always :)

Doesn’t look that mannish to me. Kudos to her for picking out a natural looking breast size.

Saying something bad about someones avatar should at least be accurate. She does not look like manly at all.
Great av lovely write up and great pics.

Probably the coolest Post6 in a long time. I don’t see the “man” in the AV at all. Though, focusing the eyes a bit closer would have made for better pictures.

Great write up as well. Job well done, I say.

Even though I’ve been in SL for a relatively long time, I just started reading the Herald regularly. Interesting to say the least. :)

As an aficionado of males of the species, I think Cynthia does not look like one at all. At least none of the guys I know look anything like her. ^_^

That said, the first photo does have that deer in the headlights look and I’m not a big fan of the skin — too smooth and painted looking and I’m soo over super-plumped lips. The shape is very nice though (if a bit hippy for my tastes) and teh boobies are just fine (and even maybe a bit bigger than mine).

How convenient that she shares her name with artificially created yeast.

I agree, Cynthias shape is really pretty. I don’t know if she or Timothy had the pose in the second picture, that pose is so full of WIN. She looks like a sleek sexy sculpture! That “come hither” look over the shoulder is very tempting. Kudos for using a bowler hat (fitted perfectly) and monocle. The biograph is sweet and well written.

So over to the things that I don’t like much… hair, clothes and skin. The hair reminds me of Panache and Gurl6 hair I used to wear in 2007. It looks stiff with unnatural textures and colors. The third hair is best.
I am probably spoiled with skin releases, this skin looks rather plain with not much detailing. I am not sure if Timothy tried to cover it up with blur in the third picture. The first picture has a very ugly lightning. What happened here, Timothy? You took some great pictures lately, and now you let it go.

I like the bowler, monocle, pose, and attitude in that second picture.

And I love Cynthia’s write up! It’s always so wonderful to see someone with such a *healthy* outlook to SL.

And seriously…looks like a man? You’ve gotta be kidding me! Her shape is lovely. (And nothing a slightly nicer skin couldn’t fix.)

    bowler + come-hither look = fap heaven

    Looks like a man? Hah.

Love me that second pic! Well done, Cynthia & Timothy!

    Nice pictures, nice look.

Not the typical sl girl with huge boobs and unnatural curves.

    Well done Cynthia!

(would love to see a LAQ skin on that shape)

I see the Post 6 Grrrl posts in my RSS feed and I don’t even open them anymore.

Well….except for this one of course. So I could write this.

Hey…that 2nd pic looks like she’s got cum dripping from her eye. Little whore!

Just when I think we have rounded up all the retards, you come bob-bob-bobbing along. Get back in your hole.

I’d do her. Picture 2 is teh hawt.

It doesn’t matter if she’s man or woman, she looks like a noob on second day in SL. One of the countless run-of-the-mill avies you see hunting for freebies in cheapo shops. No personality, no style, no taste, no clue about how to shape a nice avie, nothing that catches the eye.
    See her – forget her!
I wonder how she caught the eye of the “photographer”.
BTW: Pics 1 and 3 are shabby! If I were editress I’d kick his untalented @$$ out!!!
