Caroline Southmoor — Post 6 Grrrrl
by Alphaville Herald on 23/06/10 at 11:18 am
[Again, my luck holds, and Post 6 finds beautiful models without my having to leave the house. One of our Post 6 Models from a few weeks ago told me about this week's Post 6 Grrrl, and my wife, who also knows her, introduced us. Caroline Southmoor is as kind and outgoing as she is beautiful, and it was a genuine pleasure to work with her. I am proud and pleased to introduce this week's Post 6, Caroline Southmoor. ~Timothy Morpork]
Hello!
One of my friends, Brandie Glas posed for Post 6 a while back, she told me how much fun it was and her pictures looked really great. So when Carol, Timothy’s wife asked me if I wanted to do it I thought sure why not? So here I am. I was really honored when asked to pose for Post 6, so I want to thank Timothy & Carol for making this happen.
I’ve been in SL for almost a year now, and I absolutely love it and everything it has to offer. It’s open 24/7 and the weather is always nice here, there’s always something fun to do in here if you are bored or need a little break from RL. Where else can you watch a beautiful sunset on a nice beach, when it’s snowing and cold outside in RL? I have met some wonderful people, and made some really awesome friends. They are the reason I keep coming back.
Now a little about me. I’m adventurous and fun loving, I take my passions and my relationships very seriously. I love meeting new people and making friends from all over the world. I tried building after a few months in SL, but found out it wasn’t for me. Now I just enjoy what other people build and create. Now I am the progress of learning to take great pictures, who knows maybe some day I will be a great SL photographer. I am always up for a good laugh, and love making other people laugh too.
In RL I’m from Denmark where I live a happy life with my family & friends. I have a busy RL workwise, but I still manage to find time for SL – some would say I’m a little addicted, but then again most people in SL are. When I’m not playing SL I can usually be found reading a book, or on the couch watching a movie….Yeah I am probably what you will call a movie buff.
Timothy it was really great working with you, I had a blast. To Carol, thanks for all your help and support.

Uh, something seems to be missing on that third picture. I don’t see two smiles, or it must be a lot tinier than mine! There is a lot of forehead going on too. I rate it a Sammi-7 on the 1-10 scale.

Fantastic Photo’s, the third one is beautiful.
@Samantha, You know what? I feel sorry for you, you must lead such a sad little life, Your highlight of the week is to be first here, spewing your hate and negativity…..Go Get a Life!

I liked the third shot as well. Nice to get away for once from the glaring colour.
@Sourballs
You’d what???

The third picture is nice, but the lighting in the first two pictures is just so…harsh. Not flattering to the model at all.
Still, nice avatar, and a perfectly normal writeup = Win!

We all have our pet peeves, and mine is that the pictures should flatter the model. How can anyone think that the light in pic #1 and pic #2 is flattering? When I look at pic #1, the avatar looks like she’s recovering from a bad hangover. She looks washed out and haggard, with dark rings under her eyes.
I can understand that the photographer will show enviroments in a fancy windlight sky, but here the background is a generic interior of no particular interest.
It is interesting that the models can look at the pictures before they appear in The Herald. I would never approve of the first picture if it was of me.
Timothy, you can not be proud of how you portray your wife’s friend.

@Scylla
I’d politely and respectfully make sweet consenting love with her. Sorry.
@Marianne
Why do you hate on Timothy so much?

@Sourballs – because I find it sad that he repeat the light mistakes all the time. I have seen better pictures from him, and I always say that too, when I like his pictures.
For Brandie Glas, I wrote: “Again, Timothy presents the best picture first, that’s absolutely adorable, nice capture, well done. Brandi looks relaxed, natural, sexy, the really pretty girl next door.” Tell me that’s hate, eh? I must hate him when I say it’s well done.
For kellie Ryba: ” I totally love the first picture. The body and pose is great, a 10 out of 10.”
Then when he was back after his break: “I like Timothy better after his vacation too. One can notice when he puts a bit more effort into the pictures.”
I just don’t post mindless flattering.

I don’t know why anyone would hate on Marianne regarding her opinions of the first couple of pics. Scylla and I both mentioned that picture three is the best of the set. I pretty much said the same thing about pics #1 and #2. Not flattering at all. P

I don’t understand why people mess up pretty avvies with all that black eye make up when it’s not part of a goth or theme sort of look. She has a nice shape, but her eye makeup looks like it’s applied by a 12 year old girl. No subtleness or skill to it at all.

Hehe…. I start to think that Timothy post bad pictures just to stir up controversy. It is so many great tutorials out there. He can not ignore them all? To adjust Windlight sky should be a minimum when you claim to be a SL photographer.
To Caroline Southmoor: I was very harsh in my comments to Timothy, not you. I think you would could look much better. Since you are interested in SL photagraphy, you should google some of the great SL photographers and read their tutorials. LIke Ryker Beck, Strawberry Singh and Ana Lutetia. Learn from them, and soon you will take great pictures.
All these above is on Flickr. I love to look at others work and learn from it, even if I am not nearly as good.

I like the first shot. The model staring at the camera seems to be luring the photgrapher.
