Lila Corith — Post 6 Grrrrl

[Sometimes you meet a model that is just perfect. Lila Corith is that girl. The shoot was entirely her design and I just hung on in the wake of her vision. I now just want to shut up and get out of the way so that you can meet this week's incredible Post 6 Grrrl, Lila Corith. ~Timothy Morpork]

Post 6 Playlist:
Spitting Venom- Modest Mouse
Dancing with Myself- Nouvelle Vague cover
Blind Mary- Gnarls Barkley
Everlasting Light- The Black Keys

I joined Second Life thanks to their slick little Youtube ads, desperate to find something diverting that involved SOME kind of human interaction after having to stay in bed after an extended hospital stay. I figured I’d probably hate it and uninstall in after half an hour, and after trying to fix up my avatar and having her "hair" look like a polyethylene beehive wig melted into my conehead-esque skull- I was ready to bolt. Then… I found out I could fly! I headbutted a fellow newbie in the sky almost immediately, felt a rush of pixel power, and figured I’d stick around and explore a bit.

Infohubs? No. So I just flew. Anywhere and everywhere. Read blogs, discovered the work of people like Bryn Oh, found venues that played music I listen to (took a few tries running away from the Nickleback, but I survived!) and… well, etc. I can and do easily mute freenises and shrill bling-wearers and follow those that encourage me to use my imagination as much as possible.

Along my exploring I found a burlesque house, befriended the amazing women that worked there and now host the Danger Dolls show, a "post-apocalyptic and steampunk inspired burlesque show" and help manage it and the vintage burlesque show. Outside of the shows we do everything from shopping together to zombie hunting.

SL is awesome- it truly is what you make of it. I love that I can watch MST3K- a show I grew up watching with my dad- in a re-creation of the Satellite of Love with a dude in a giant plant costume snarking at the end of the row. I love that I can dance the robot listening to music I love while cracking jokes with people I would never meet otherwise because they live in far-away countries. Live shows, galleries- I discover something new everyday. I also blog for fun at a2look.blogspot.com

I treasure the friends I’ve made so far and am excited about the ones I’ll meet in the future. Special thanks to those that laugh at my cheesy jokes in voice chat- you’re the greatest! I also adore everyone that has sent me landmarks to remarkable sims and, of course, all those that take the time and money to create them. Thank you Timothy for taking a chance on an unknown kid and being a gentleman with the patience of a saint!

(I hope you enjoy the playlist I included here- one song is dedicated to the gentle commenters, past and present; one is a great cheer up tune; one I think express part of the SL experience for certain people- and it’s a kicky and sweetly sincere tune- and finally… I just really love The Black Keys.)

I like the avatar, the bio and even the pictures! I must be getting soft here. I can’t decide if I like pic #1 or #3 best…. they both look really good.
Look at the lightning in pic #3… the face and body is well lighted, no white parts, no harsh shadows under the eyes or cheekbones. I can even see details in the white fan she is holding, and photographing white items in SL is hard. They tend to go all white if the sky windlight setting is too strong, or a facelight is used. This is what I mean with good lightning. Subtle and flattering.

Exiting background in both. I will look up your profile inworld Lila, I hope you have this place in your picks. It looks like a well built sim and good to explore.

Nice write-up, Lila — well-written and subtly irreverent.

I like pics 1 and 2 muchly — but pic 3 just looks like an all too typical Post 6 shot to me.

Oh, and who DOESN’T like the Black Keys???

The sim in that first picture looks like that one Innsmouth themed sim from Call of Cthulhu.

That first photo is really nice. Actually, this whole entry is nice.

Shes okish. I like the first picture but hate the other two. The last one looks like she needs some jenny craig motivation. I should know. I do like that bobbed hair. Any chance telling where it is from. It has a very Tyrell Corp look to it.

I give her av a Sammi-5 rating and for the write up a Sammi-7 therefore she garners a overall Sammi-6. Not really good or bad, just interesting.

“The last one looks like she needs some jenny craig motivation.”

Seriously Samantha? Aren’t you the one that always complains when the model’s tits aren’t big enough, yet you complain when the model has a little junk in her trunk? Do you really see the ideal female figure as a plastic Barbie doll?

Count me in with those that think Lila looks fantastic. The last picture is actually my favorite of the three, but I’ve always been partial to that sort of look. All three pics are very nice, and I agree that the lighting in these is MUCH improved over the photos last week.
