Rubie Lemon — Post 6 Grrrrl

[I met Rubie Lemon at a fashion show the other day and asked her to pose on the spot. After explaining Post 6 and the Herald, I'm thrilled that Rubie agreed to model for us and that she was available for a shoot right after the show. I’m not sure what I am supposed to write about. I understand the idea, I mean, to write about myself, but I’m not really sure how many details of my "life" any of you will find interesting. I’ve been in Second Life for a couple of years, I have been modeling for some designer friends a little over a year, and have probably had the same ups and downs and sideways adventures the rest of you have.
I guess that one interesting thing about me is that I’m married in real life, and my real life husband knows all about my Second Life, including the fact that I was partnered in SL for a while. He thought it was hilarious, and even got himself an avatar to attend my virtual wedding. My husband doesn’t take the virtual world too seriously, and I think that’s probably wise.
Being partnered in-world was nice, but I probably won’t go there again. My virtual husband was a little too possessive and kept making me feel like I had to be online all the time. I like Second Life, but I like real life too, and something had to give, and that something was my virtual marriage.
Now I just pop in and pop out of my virtual life. I have a bunch of friends who run stores, and I model for them a lot, wearing the things they create for ads. For a while they talked me into doing the occasional runway show, but I like to be able to come and go as I please- if it’s a beautiful sunny day I don’t want to have to log in to fight lag down a runway.
I had not heard of The Alphaville Herald before I met Timothy, and I’m honored that he thought me worthy to be here. I love the pictures and I hope you do too. Thank you for listening to me ramble, maybe I’ll see you on the grid.

Does you provide any pro-boner work in these kases? Reckon we could use us one of them psycho-analysis things. I had my head examined one time but the doc said “git yo’self a new one…this one am shot.”

C’mon… here you have a honest woman who isn’t cheating on her husband. Because cheating is when you go behind somebody’s back. I like that. Also her attitude towards SL “jobs”, it is better too go out and enjoy RL, so don’t get so busy in SL that your RL has to suffer from it.
I like her body. She’s slender all over, I especially like that her hips is long enough so her butt doesn’t stand out like an awkward bump. Instead her curves are smooth like a Greecian vase. Her tattoo is a bit too much for me too, but if she likes it…. it is nicer than the hard black tattoos.

You know, even in RL not all women are curvy…they come in all shapes and sizes, and if you really *are* a woman, Samantha, you should already know that. You’re beginning to sound like a freakin’ broken record.
The girl is a model in SL. Models in SL are thin. Get over it.
I think Rubie is lovely.

Glad she’s honest with her RL husband. SL could use more of that. Nice write up.
Her avvie is pretty but average, though. Another cookie cutter blonde, overly tattooed bimbette.
On the other hand, it’s nice to see Timothy get out beyond the BDSM clubs.
So, on balance, it’s an ok post.

Nothing wrong with rambling, Pappy, at least not with your kind of rambling.
Heck, there is nothing wrong even with a bit of rambling of the kind that Rubie is apologising for — as lang as it’s somehow witty or otherwise enjoyable.
Thing is, though, there is no rambling in this write-up. Just some unnecessary modesty in the conclusion.

No problem with the skin on her butt…. it’s Timothy who prefer SL light settings that creates dramatic backgrounds/landscapes, but the same light makes the avatar skin look bad. One of the main issues I have with his work, I think Post 6 pictures should flatter the avatar, not the landscape behind her.
Use of a soft facelight can help that, here we should have a buttlight too. Oh and white furboas look crap in SL light. You see that it’s totally white without any details in front of her face, and looks more natural when it’s hanging down behind her.
