Peaches Limondi — Post 6 Grrrrl

[I saw Peaches Limondi at a shop one day and approached her about modeling for us. I was politely rebuffed. A couple of weeks later she contacted me, told me her story, and I haven't in recent memory met a more together, charming woman. It is a pleasure to introduce Peaches Limondi, this week's Post 6 Grrl. ~Timothy Morpork]

Peaches Limondi

I have been happily partnered in SL for well over three years now, and happily married to the same man in real life for far far longer. My SL/RL husband and I have had our good times, our bad times, our ups and our downs just as any couple does. When he discovered Second Life and then brought me into it, it was the best thing our marriage had ever known, especially as he spends a lot of his life on the road while I’m at home with my job.

The line between SL and RL can be blurry for anyone, but for us I think it is especially strange as we spend a lot of time together on the grid. Our identities in-world aren’t always in line with how we act in real life, and a lot of that is intentional. I’m cautious in my real life, and though I tend toward caution here too, I force myself to be more assertive here. I find that lessons I learn about myself and my character on the grid translate to lessons I can use in my journey to discover more about myself.

About six months after I started in SL, I was approached by a hunky male avatar. After I told him to hit the road, he was back, explaining that he was my partner, wearing a new alt he had just made, roleplaying that he was some guy hitting on me. It turns out that my virtual infidelity was a turn-on for him, so we have played this scenario many times since. We have also explored other fantasies and fetishes, none of which would I attempt at home, and none of which would interest us in real life. The virtual world provides me with a safe sandbox to explore the world, and expand my own boundaries.

Peaches Limondi

Which is where Peaches comes in. My husband and I have several avatars that we use for different roles, and when I made Peaches, I told my partner I had made a new avatar and he would meet her soon, and she would be his to do with as he pleased. No further pre-scripting needed. A couple of days later I dropped by our home with her and through one of the hottest dialogues I’ve ever experienced, an hour or two later "Peaches" was his Pet-in-Training. I hope she pleases him in every way, and that he sees fit to make her his full time "slave." We’ve never done any Dom and Sub play before so we’re learning as we go.

Out shopping for our roleplays, I ran into Timothy and he asked me to pose. I turned him down as I had latex to buy, but my partner and I discussed it and have included my appearance here into the fabric of our narrative. I hope you appreciate how nervous poor Peaches is posing here for you, forced to take her clothes off for the stranger with the camera and his blog’s legions of readers….

I have never had so much fun with Second Life as when I gave up trying to justify it and just started living it. My husband and I have some of the best times of our married life here in-world, and I will be forever grateful to the Lindens for giving us this platform to use. I only wish more people would get over their hang-ups and give in and "live" a little, even virtually.

Peaches Limondi

Timothy has extended the offer to feature my husband and my "main" avatars, but we’re still on the fence with that one. Roleplay is fun, but not with the Alphaville Herald’s audience watching. Maybe someday I’ll be back here, but for now please know that it is an honor to be here and I thank Timothy for the opportunity. Be nice to each other, and to me. :-)

    @Nelson

Again, your points about the flaws in UCR data only show that the UCR may have imperfections. Almost any data source does.

But it does NOT demonstrate any increase in crime in cities. You pulled this claim entirely out of thin air and have yet to show a single data source to support it.

Nice try trying to confuse the “UCR data is flawed” with “I’m right when I make unsubstantiated claims about crime rates.”

But no, there is no increase in crime and you can not show this to be true.

And now we come to just how ridiculous you are….

“And correlation also does not imply lack of causation, so these “adult fantasies” can not be shown to have no detriment to the public, either.”

So, correlations don’t show causation or a lack thereof, so you must be right?

Perhaps you can use those straws you’ve grabbed at to support the leg you don’t have to stand on.

Guys, guys aren’t you going a bit too far?

We have two people, even married, who are getting the best out of Second Life for themselves and share the knowledge that it is a possibility to live out their fantasies with each other, even if they are miles and miles away.

What kind of fantasies they share is, even if shared on this public platform, something they have to deal with themselves. And all i’am reading is that they do.

As far as i understand the text, the D/s-part is only part of their relationship and can and mostly has to be something played with utmost respect for the needs of both partners. I trust both of them to do that kind of stuff with responsibility. I don’t see a lady here forced by her agressive husband to give in to his perverted practics.

    So what’s the case exactly?

    Greetings

    Mr. Bellflower

P.S.: Please ignore my not so fine english, as i am not a native speaker ;-)

Yeah, I guess you’re right. Can’t really link you to word-of-mouth from hundreds of LEO’s and personal experience. Oh well, suppose I’m wrong, then.

“So, correlations don’t show causation or a lack thereof, so you must be right?

Perhaps you can use those straws you’ve grabbed at to support the leg you don’t have to stand on.”

You had stated that since correlation doesn’t imply causation, there is never causation.

Just because not all correlations imply causations doesn’t mean that all causations have no correlations.

@Nelson “Just because not all correlations imply causations doesn’t mean that all causations have no correlations.”

Yes, and a complete lack of evidence to support your claims doesn’t mean you’re definitely wrong. It just means we’ve no reason to believe you’re right.

Repeating myself once again because it apparently takes multiple times for you to understand something.

Based on the observations of several hundred local, county, and state California peace officers, including myself, we mostly concur that there has been a general increase in crimes for our high-crime patrol zones.

If you’re looking for linkable evidence, sorry. Guess you win.

Can I go back to trolling people that get mad now?

@Nelson “Based on the observations of several hundred local, county, and state California peace officers, including myself, we mostly concur that there has been a general increase in crimes for our high-crime patrol zones.”

The unsubstantiated testimony you claim exists of some unidentified police somewhere in California is wholly unconvincing of any alleged increase in crime.

Whether or not I won depends on whether or not anyone finds your personal speculation more convincing than my government data. The general attitude in most of the public is that the latter is far more persuasive.

That’s up to them. According to members of the California Highway Patrol, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Carlsbad Police Department, Coronado Police Department, Los Angeles Police Department, Oceanside Police Department, and the San Diego Police Department, violent crime is going up in hot patrol zones. But, y’know, relying on proven-inaccurate data that covers 5-25% of the actual crimes committed, yes, you are correct.

So you claim. Do you have maybe a newspaper article quoting these police saying that their experience entirely contradicts the UCR data?

You say “according to.” So surely you have some way to verify that police in ALL these departments are really saying this. I mean, you wouldn’t just make this up, would you?

Of course not. Yet strangely, despite this day-long debate of ours, this is the first mention you’ve made of these numerous departments completely contradicting the UCR reports. Slip your mind?

Well, let’s see some quotes, at least. Not that anecdotal comments are exactly proof, but they’d be a hell of a lot more than you’ve had so far.

I dunno about all these crime statistics, but I do know you shouldn’t let your dogs starve to death because you are addicted to video games. Hitler would never do that.

@nelson, of course they are going to say its going up. less would mean no OT and less need for officers. it is in LEs interest to keep crime going to perpetuate the criminal defense system. so reporting as so is in only a hope to increase revene and thus keep on keeping on with the same old shit.

California’s Violent Crime Rate Falls for Third Consecutive Year

LOS ANGELES – Praising the “dedicated and courageous efforts” of local law enforcement officials, Attorney General Edmund G. Brown Jr. today released the California Department of Justice’s annual crime report for 2009, which continued the promising trend of declining crime rates in California, including a 6.6% reduction in the state’s violent crime rate.

“This latest drop in crime,” Brown said, “is good news for Californians and reflects well on the dedicated and courageous efforts of peace officers throughout the state. Yet it is no cause for complacency. Crime remains a serious problem in California, and law enforcement officials at every level must redouble their efforts to ensure public safety.”

“Crime in California 2009 – Advance Release” is compiled by the California Department of Justice based on data reported by police and sheriff’s departments in all of California’s 58 counties.

The 2009 figures, drawn from crime reports, show that crime rates have declined in every category of offense measured, from homicide (-8.9%) and robbery (-8.6%) to motor vehicle theft (-15.8%) and arson (-14.3%).

In fact, last year’s drop marked the third consecutive year in which violent crime (-6.6%), property crime
(-10.1%), and larceny and theft (-6.5%) rates have all declined. Almost 20,000 fewer violent crimes were committed in 2009 than in 2006.

Overall, since statewide crime peaked in 1992, crime rates in all three categories have been cut in half – the rates have tumbled -58.9% for violent crime, -51.7% for property crime, and -48.5% for larceny and theft. In total, more than 1.4 million arrests were made in California in 2009, down from more than 1.9 million 20 years ago.

Driving the downward trend were California’s five largest counties, all of which recorded significant crime rate declines from 2008 to 2009:

    - Los Angeles: violent crime (-9%), property crime (-11%), and larceny and theft (-3.3%)
    - San Diego: violent crime (-2.2%), property crime (-22.5%), and larceny and theft (-14.2%)
    - Orange: violent crime (-3.6%), property crime (-10.5%), and larceny and theft (-3.7%)
    - Riverside: violent crime (-13.4%), property crime (-12.4%), and larceny and theft (-11%)
    - San Bernardino: violent crime (-4.5%), property crime (-11%), and larceny and theft (-8.7%)

For more detailed crime statistics and local data, please see the attached report and data tables.

You win, congratulations. Despite the fact that the disparity between UCR-reported crimes and estimated crimes actually committed is growing and rape statistics, which are the ones we’re discussing, are barely accurate at all.

  15. & the big picture is....

    Sep 17th, 2010

    @ Nelson Jenkins
meanwhile crime is escalating out of control (according to your unsubstantiated records) in all those jurisdictions (you quoted) and why…? because YOU are spending a chunk of your time here harping on about how bad it is (probably so the departments get a mention in the next budget) instead of getting out there on ‘the beat’ and doing something about it.

Ya know what is most discrediting? When someone does as you have and makes claims then when asked to prove them (even be it with some obscure back water town local news clipping) you can’t, yet you still argue the fact and fail to show proof.

I once read that 100% of the criminals in the U.S. drank water, or something with water as a primary ingredient, within 24-72 hours of committing their crime.

Some of them even had had water right before committing their crime and a few have even had it on them when arrested!

I don’t see how that stuff is still legal.
