Lorne Aeon — Post 6 Grrrrrrrl
by Alphaville Herald on 22/07/11 at 12:43 am
[My wife introduced me to this week's Post 6 Grrrl, having met Lorne at her club, Dear Prudence. She had me at the name of her club. It is a real treat and an honor to introduce one of the truly gorgeous avatars of SL, Lorne Aeon. ~Timothy Morpork]
Lorne Aeon can be found on the Penny Lane sim - either at Dear Prudence Rock Club or wandering along Cherry Lane - an interesting retail place with clothing stores not far from the club.
Lorne is a well known personality on the sim where she is involved managing Dear Prudence Rock Club. It takes up most of her time, organizing schedules, live artists, dancers and dj's, hosting and dancing as a stripper. The club specializes in Classic Rock and promotes live music, it is one of the longest standing Rock Clubs in Second Life.
It is when you wander around 'Cherry Lane' that you can appreciate Lorne's creative bent - little stores carrying the best in second life merchandise. Keep your eye here as you will find some special outfits for that important event.
On a personal front - Lorne's Second Life could read similar to 'Sex and the City', where she dabbles in scintillating sexual encounters. Does Second Life mirror Real Life - or is it an expression of what we would like to encounter?
Lorne has experimented from the heavy BDSM to the loving, caring partnership. Currently single - she is kept busy with her retail empire, Dear Prudence Rock club and now her newly acquired Amaretto stud of horses. Come over to Penny Lane sim and make Lorne's acquaintance - you will not be disappointed.

Don’tcha love people who talk about themselves in the 3rd person? It just gives them that royal feeling, I guess.

At least it was short. So short actually I didn’t hardly notice I was reading the body of the text already … and then it was over. So that woman owns a club and a shoping mall. Nothing wrong with that, no?

Maybe I should apply with Timothy as a Post6 Grrl as well. Show off my rather unimpressing physics and get a free advertising space in return. YAY!

Lovely model, photos pleasing on the eye and just a subtle hint that there’s a brain working away in there.

The pictures and poses were decent (the last pose was kind of awkward though) but the unchanging facial expression made me think I was watching a horror film of some sort.

Never mind, I’d rather stab her in the eyes with my minuscule junk.

@JustMe: Pappy Enoch am big as three human being persons, so he likes a-usin’ third person to describe hisself.
Pappy am fappin’ rite now a-lookin’ at that nekkid gal Lorne, too. Pappy knows y’all likes to know all about this sorta stuff because he am so dang famus and a supermodel IRL too. Fap on, ya’ll.

But Nelson, you should know our faces are naturally unchanging, there’s not much any model could do about it other than those terrible emohuds, which make one grin/frown/shriek like an idiot and leave one’s lip piercings floating in the gap in between the lips. Did I already say they are terrible?
So what is an aspiring Post6 Model gonna do? Change mouth corners up and down in appearance mode for every friggin photo?

That is true Orca but with clever use of lighting, expression can be given the appearance of being different. So perhaps between the subtle use of one of those huds and clever lighting and angling of the shot, something interesting could be created? These three shots are essentially taken from the same position and in the same lighting conditions so they’ll naturally appear similar.
I mean not wanting to simply get people looking at my Post 6 thing again but if you look at the photos Timothy did for that you’ll see that the composition is different each time and gives a different expression from what is essentially the same facial expression.
Of course the nature of Post 6 is about the avatar as a whole not just the face and with only three images available, it’s difficult to draw out every best feature. The face is often a blob at the top of a full-body composition and rarely featured in portrait so it perhaps doesn’t need a great deal of focus during the process.
The problem of course is that it becomes a trade-off between time spent on the shoot (and perhaps pre/post-shoot too) for the extra value gained. If Timothy is up for a challenge though, I’d be interested in seeing him do a few Post 6 articles showing more portraits using lighting and composition etc to change the model’s expression. Could be fun?

I actually have two shapes that are identical in every way, except one has the lips smiling more, and the other is more of a more serious expression, so going from one to the other is quite easy.
And with the use of a *good* emo-HUD (as some are better than others) and lighting, you can get pretty good expressions. You just have to experiment, and find out what works. And sometimes you need to smooth a few jagged spots in post-production, but that’s more the fault of the horrible avatar mesh that SL uses, than the emo-HUDs.

Yeah right, Senbii, all shots of Mrs Aeon are full frontal and not giving her any chance to give a undrugged or even slightly intelligent impression. And of course our more rural minded kultcha critics are only having eyes for the chacha bingos, but the more intellectual amongst us, like those brainwashed, America bashing, bitches like Mrs Babii and Flotta, sometimes like to look those models into the eyes.

Perhaps Pix could start a new weekly column called Vote On My iBoobs. Each week a new model posts close up shots of their boobs, possibly including erotic/humorous accessories and then the readers vote with +1/-1? We could have league tables and everything?
That’s 98% of the readership dealt with and then we could have a nice weekly column for the rest of us where we discuss the invention of the horse collar and Goffman’s theories about presentation of self. Somehow, knowing the Herald readership, this would still turn into this

I am a regular visitor to the Dear Prudence Rock Club.
I have met and chatted with Lorne often. So I believe that I can say this about Lorne:
Lorne is the perfect combination of Beauty and Brains.
Love you Lorne..
