Magdalenamarie Cooperstone — Post 6 Grrrrl

by Alphaville Herald on 27/04/11 at 1:46 am

 [The other day I got a "Hey, you should meet....she'd be a great model for you" from a reader and I followed up and had the good luck to meet Magdalenamarie Cooperstone, the beautiful and intelligent avatar to whom our reader referred me. During her shoot, I also got to meet a half dozen other remarkable avatars that make up her friends and family, raising our tipster-reader to "Timothy's hero." While I hope Magdalenamarie will encourage her friends and family to join us as Post 6 Models, let me please first say that it is an honor to begin with the person around whom they all seem to revolve; it is a great pleasure to introduce Magdalenamarie as this week's Post 6 Grrl. ~Timothy Morpork]

Magdalenamarie Cooperstone Final 1

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we all have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.” – Charles R Swindoll.

I think of myself as the mother from “Malcolm in the Middle”, tough when I have to be, but there is never a moments question whether or not it’s out of love. I keep my SL family close to me, as if they were my RL family. Friends will come and go, you know someone is family when they are one of those people who come and don’t go. Those are the people I surround myself with.

Magdalenamarie Cooperstone Final 2

I roleplay, medieval fantasy, and that is the roots which lead to my avatars look. I started out as a drow, a dark elve, but then married the king of the Elves, and became a High Elve. From there I ruled for a while, but all dawns must have a dusk. Soon night spread over that chapter of my life, and the day began to shine on the next chapter, and I moved on. I became the Demon Queen of Aglarond, and the look just sort of stuck with me. The purple hair, the purple eyes, the horns, they are all trademarks almost, they are who Magda is. It’s funny when I think back about it, Magdalena almost put herself together, I was just the hand moving the mouse around. She came into manifestation, and has remained the same since, going from fantasy to steam punk, to Victorian. Magdalena has made her name in these realms, and has since retired, that part of her story has finished. Now I spend my days with my wonderful sl husband.

I also have a couple alts for when I need an escape. They are each different parts of my personality, each one a shard of who I am sent out into virtual space to thrive. Each one makes their name in a different way, almost in an effort to match up to the name made by Magdalenamarie.

    Should i be taking exception to this remark?

    @Nelson “Just because I have a cock in SL doesn’t mean I have sex. ”

    TMI alert.

    @Senban,

    Of *course* it’s an artform. SL is lego bricks joined together with pieces of digital art pasted on them.

    It’s *exactly* the same artform as digitally generated movies.

    That this type of movie can be run in realtime and is often used for furry pr0n in no way changes that it’s art.

    If you think otherwise it’s likely you don’t participate in creating anything from scratch.

    Ooooh, does that mean that the next time I make a stew from tinned produce and packet soup, that I can call myself a chef?

    I love reading the comments to these more than looking at the photos or reading the personal write-ups. But then I don’t “get” the SL family thing either. NTTAWWT.

    So art has to be good, then?

    I don’t think this Post 6 is good, so it’s not art.

    But it’s on its way to getting more comments than Nelson’s post 6, so that’s a win for democracy.

    Maybe if his cock weren’t the color of bologna he’d have set the record.

    Sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of recently winning a virtual world art competition (http://www.mondivirtuali.it/portal/en/content/senban-wins-virtual-diversity) and currently having my image taking centre stage at an exhibition running in both SL and Open Sim and having a short interview about it (http://www.mondivirtuali.it/portal/en/content/exploring-self).

    Ironic, no? :P

    Personally I’m quite embarrassed about the whole thing, don’t think I did anything special and certainly don’t think I should have won but in your case I’ll make an exception and throw it in your face ;)

    Eurgh, I had to log into SL last night to go take a look at the exhibition. It was a timely reminder of why I haven’t logged in for months.

    Art = artificial = anything that is humanly contrived. Therefore, most of SL is art.

    However, I’m not sure if that includes “furry art” as some furries claim not to be human.

    Congratulations Senban. This sort of stuff is why we all love you.

    As to Art:
    I left some sour cream too long in the fridge recently and it got kind of furry. It was definitely not artistic to my eye, but I’ll bet some artsy and sciency kind of person could use some sort of microscope/camera rig to get some pictures of the fungus that would make us all go OOOOOOOO!

    Art is everywhere.

    @Hilo Hello
    “Congratulations Senban. This sort of stuff is why we all love you.”

    Senban Babii dolls now available in stores. Soprts car and pony sold seperately.

    Newsflash!

    Senban Babii dolls with spring-loaded Brick Shitting Action now also available. Bricks sold seperately.

    This replaces the earlier Senban Babii dolls with spring-loaded Meh Shrugging Action which were withdrawn due to legal action following a child accidentally losing the will to live.

    @Senban I suppose the Senban Babii stage wrangler to the stars action figure doll is now a collector’s item?

  16. Senban Babii

    May 15th, 2011

    @AM Oderngrl

    Not as rare though as the infamous Senban Babii dancer doll which featured a string-pull voice box that would yell out “For Fuck’s Sake I Fell Off The Stage Again!” The doll was eventually recalled but eight remain unaccounted for. One was last seen robbing a bank with a genuine prototype rocket-firing Boba Fett action figure. The rest are probably in private collections somewhere.

    Out next year is the new Senban Babii computer technician doll with many humorous sayings such as “well it works on my machine”, “no I will not install games for you” and “you don’t have a virus, you’re just inept and looking for someone else to blame”.

    But you’re correct. The stage wrangler to the stars doll now only exists in photos, memories and lawsuit notes and there are no current plans to put it back into production.

    I know you, don’t I ;)

    Should i be taking exception to this remark?

    @ Dontspill:
    Hm, no no, I didn’t mean you! You’re intellectual (I hope) and a physical dwarf, while most Post 6 models have a dwarfed intellect.

    Put the blame on my lack of the english language, sorry.

    ‘Bout art:

    “Pornography, like anything else, can hold artistic merit. Since when does sexual pleasure, this feeling, become wrong? Is it not similar to laughing at comedy, crying at sad stories, being afraid of scary stories, adrenaline from thrillers, thought from mysteries, or loving in romance? Is this so different to feel aroused, although it’s just another feeling – and if not combined with love; or possibly the many more feelings, it becomes just that even more. Art is to convey feelings, to give these immersion to the audience, and arousal does nothing less than that of these accepted feelings in the art world.”

    About Nelson being a furry or not: Doesnt matter what you do or dont fap to, if you concider yourself a furry, you are a furry. that is *all* there is to it.

    About all furries fapping to furry porn: BS.

  21. D.F.

    May 16th, 2011

    PS:

    About the reasons Nelson gave for furries not drawing porn… Come on, you know better then that.

    @Orca

    Let’s see some credentials to establish that you are in fact qualified to deem that other people have a “dwarfed intellect.”

    It seems to me 50% of your comments here are spent correcting things you said in previous comments, which would put you on the slower end of the intellectual track.
