Corsi Mousehold: JLU Are Power Hungry Crazed Nutjobs

[Corsi Mousehold has been awarded the “commie” or comment-of-the-week award for her explanation of why the Justice League Unlimited superheros are not welcome in Furnation. The award winning comment is reproduced below. ]
Here’s a bit of a story. IN years past the JLU were a welcomed member of the FurNation community. They didn’t bother anyone and no one really bothered them. That was until we were under a griefer attack and the JLU came over to ‘assist’ and the first thing they did was report ME to the lab for griefing. They approached me and yelled at me for causing the issue. I asked them why they reported me of all people. By this time I had already deleted all the offensive material. They told me that I was the one putting it all out and they had seen me doing it. Basically they had watched me selecting objects to return them. They were extremely rude to me at the time and informed me that they would have reports go up on me. I contacted Kalel and he too said I was being reported and then for harassment as well. I was not rude to these people at all. It was several days later that I was contacted by Kalel informing me that the ‘charges’ had been dropped because they did not realize I was the sim owner. My response of course was to point to the info hub I had in the center of the sandbox that had my name clearly displayed as the sim owner and if his comrades had taken a moment to look they would have seen I was in the admin team.
He called me ungrateful and abuse reported me again. I was informed of this by him as well as he had several of his friends make the same report. All reports were dismissed by the GOV team as illegitimate. Soon I had JLU members ‘patrolling’ the sandboxes and abuse reporting anyone that they felt was disobeying my rules. They started to get several members of my community banned. I was forced to add a new sim rule that the JLU were not allowed in the sim for any reason. When they had seen this, I was reported again for griefing. Again the report was dismissed.
In the end I was approached months later by Green Lantern Corps asking if it was okay for them to be there. They apologized for the treatment the JLU had given me and asked if they would be allowed to just come and build.
Green Lantern Corps are allowed to visit and act if they wish. But they are not allowed to be in tag or act as a part of the Corps while visiting. If they are the subject of a griefing they are to come to me and I would take care of it. They can then file all the reports they like.
In the end the JLU are a bunch of power hungry crazed nutjobs that think being an SL Police force gives them the right to get away with whatever they want. The GLC on the other hand have always been very respectful to me and my residents.

Indeed we are responsible for what happens on our land. We are not responsible for things that happen outside it, and we’re 100% sure the ban-hammer was for something that happened outside of WU’s knowledge and territory.

Well whats so amusing about LL’s claim they hold individuals responsible for what happens on their land is, that theres a number of emails from Lindens to sim owners referring to their property ownership as “sovereign”. Any fool cracking open a dictionary knows that when someone has sovereign power over their land, that means THEY ARE NOT ACCOUNTABLE TO ANY OTHER AUTHORITY.
So, if we really are sovereign in our sims, then the governance team, nor any other Linden, should have any authority to enforce any TOS in an estate sim. Their only jurisdiction should be on the mainland, and they should give sim owners the ability to fully control access to their sims, giving sim owners the ability to IP and hash ban individuals, a capability that sim owners have had elsewhere going back to retarded worlds like Everquest.
Now, there are WU members who haven’t been anywhere else in SL other than WU’s sims and their own land. Others, like Scout Detritus, hasn’t even logged into SL in months, being stationed in Afghanistan with the US Army, yet he got a permban for nothing other than having donated a sim to WU at one time, and having been an estate manager at one point when he was online.
This is the specious sort of “guilt” standard that LL held WU’s members to, in complete contravention of every accepted standard of jurisprudence in the western world. Its as dumb as holding Cory Linden responsible for the stupid shit that M and T have done.
Thats ok though, because, by my analysis of the class action suit against LL, if LL at any time presented sim ownership as being the sovereign property of the sim owner, then LL can also be held responsible for any damages a sim owner has ever incurred due to governance team violations of sim sovereignty by banning a sim resident/tenant for acts performed in that private sim. Because LL can’t have governance over private sims if they refer to them as the sim owners being sovereign.

There ya go. Right to eliminate, no liability to you. In the TOS. Everyone agreed to it, and may not be really fair, but you dont HAVE to agree with the TOS any more then you HAVE to play Second Life.

They can send as many emails as they want, and individual Lindens may tell you whatever you want, that you’re the only lord and master of your sims, but it wont make a difference to the TOS, to which you AGREED when you signed up, and a couple of more times after that, be it legal or fair or not.
and of COURSE they’re going to care about what you do with the land that you’re admin of, if they feel it’s trouble for LL.

Now, according to you, LL shouldnt have the right, or shouldnt care, what happens there. But do you really, honestly believe LL would even CONCIDER telling Little Pedo Billy that they wont meddle in his little rape the kids playground, that it’s a souvereign sim and under ONLY Billy’s control for no-one else to decide over? Officially, not in some email that Pedo Linden may have decided to send them?

I signed the TOS. Reluctantly, yes. I didnt like specifically the clauses about property rights, but hey, I want to play SL, so I’ll just not take any risks, and not invest too much time and money in SL:
cause I realize fully, that at any moment I might lose it all. Maybe because someone who doesnt like me will mass AR me, maybe because LL decides tomorrow to terminate the whole of SL and be done with it, maybe because I get caught doing somethign LL deosnt approve of.

These are the people that would have you believe they are upstanding members of the Secondlife community.
I personally have no connection with Woodbury whatsoever, and have no feelings either way on what has happened there. But the kind of gloating going on here by the JLU just shows them up to be members, and generally pretty flaccid at that.

WU’s creative ability produced some lovely works of digital modern art. But they are blames for the bad (that is still going on btw) on them.
You think you are safe now? Your creations are safe? Everything that was happening is still happening, its just there is no WU to blame.
But, the JLU still stalks. Though now I get 0day avatars teleporting a random sim and asking me how to crash sims, or crash clients, or copybot things. JLU now wear their spandex under their freebie clothes. And they mass AR still. Lies too. I recieved a one hour ‘cooling off’ ban for being abusive on voice, without every plugging in a mic. 4 people AR’d me.
And BTW not all the Lindens are JLU lovers. Their are still a couple of sensible ones. It is just a shame they couldn’t help WU (I guess it would be their jobs if they did).

Darkfoxx Bunnyip is most certainly tied in with JLU, he/she/it is a Gay Yiffy Club staff stripper with over 100 posts on their private web forum. (this is from a 30 second google). According to Wikifur, he used to be manager of the GYC with his brother Kiroja Fluffy. Now, Kiroja’s brother is also known as Angel Fluffy, though that may be a different “brother”. Either way, Darkfoxx is not just some average butthurt furry. He is most definitely part of Angels Proactive Security gestapo if he isn’t a JLU member.

Pfft, the JLU aren’t power hungry, they’re just fucking retarded. I had my run ins with them when I ran Montego Bay. One showed up and decided because I told her to exit the sim because i was editing the terrain that she should call her buddies and mass AR me.
Not one of them even so much as batted an eye to see who owned and ran the place or what I’d actually said, just that one of their members was upset and warranted a mass AR.
